  1. Gotta say, I prefer the US cover for the new FB editions. The UK one is fun and all, but Scholastic’s has a more of a textbook design to it, in keeping with the original schoolbook editions. It also has a sort of retro vibe that I really love, reminds me of the aesthetics of some 60s/70s sci-fi cover designs. I most definitely want this in my collection. I’m not really into merch generally, but dammit if they don’t get me with every new edition of HP books. I don’t care how many copies I have of the same book, a gorgeous new edition is always worth it if I’ve got the funds for it (is my Ravenclaw showing?).

The new CC on the other hand-I really wish they would have kept it to one edition, though I get why they didn’t. But I really resent this need I now feel to purchase that pile of garbage a second time, just for posterity’s sake. I’ve considered donating the rehearsal edition, but then begrudgingly realized that it holds sentimental value- the return of the midnight release party, excitedly reading it aloud with my friends in a bar, wanting to set the sucker on fire and being talked down…ahh, the memories. Eff you, Cursed Child.

  2. I think in regards to why Harry never developed an Obscurus, you guys weren’t focusing on the main point. He didn’t develop one because he never felt the need to hide the fact that he was different, or tried to “stop” his magic. He hated his aunt and uncle and them treating him poorly never made him want to behave differently or hate himself, it just made him hate them more. To develop an obscurus, he would have had to actively try to stop the “strange things” from happening. I felt like JKR’s reasoning was really sound!

  3. Loved the discussions on JKRowling’s new website, definitely made me feel nostalgic for her original site, I remember hunting round for clues and opening that door to reveal snippets here and there🤓 Thank for bringing that all back!
And hey, if Andrew wants to change his house, that’s up to him…Is he hiding anything you guys ought to know about though…😉
